I was born in Prague, Czech Republic. I feel very fortunate to have grown up as part of a very athletic family. My sister and I were raised with sport being a big part of our lives.
After studying psychology at university, I realized that sport is as much mentally satisfying as it is physically. It's about connecting with how you feel after doing exercise, mentally and physically. The realization that you feel more confident and positive should give you the motivation to do the exercises that you enjoy most on a consistent basis.
The sport I did growing up was predominantly tennis and skiing on the beautiful Czech mountains. As soon as I graduated from high school, I got certified in teaching both tennis and skiing.
I then moved to Dubai where I started dabbling with a bit of yoga. Soon it became an obsession for me, and it became clear to me that I wanted to share my knowledge with others. I got certified as a yoga instructor, specializing in Vinyasa Flow.
I'm fascinated with how I can integrate my psychology degree into my yoga classes. Life is full of ups and downs, and we can't control certain situations in life, but we can control our bodies and make sure stress and overthinking don't make us unhealthy and dominate our thoughts.
My desire is to make people mentally and physically balanced. When leaving one of the classes I teach, I want everyone to feel great, stress-free and able to deal with anything life throws your way.
"The key to being happy is knowing you have the power to choose what to accept and what to let go."
I can't wait to see you on the mat!
